Privacy policy

Take Your Time Back is operated by Polished Technology Solutions. Updated October 11, 2026.

We store your account email, password hash, device model and operating-system version; your goals, milestones and actions; focus schedules, selected apps and websites; intervention and completion history, timestamps, and feedback. Authentication uses expiring tokens. These records support account access, synchronization, restoration and the app's focus features.

Android Accessibility and overlay permissions help detect selected apps and websites and show interventions on your device. Website detection can process accessibility text locally. The server receives the selected target identifier and intervention history, rather than a copy of all screen contents. You can disable protection and revoke permissions in Android settings.

Railway hosts our API and database. Resend delivers password-reset emails. Release builds use Google's Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics, including device and app details. Google Analytics is not included. Billing is disabled for the free pilot; if enabled later, Google Play handles payment and we store subscription verification and trial records.

We use this information to operate and troubleshoot the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Infrastructure providers process data to supply their services. Access is restricted to service operation and support. Internet transport uses HTTPS.

Your synchronized records remain while your account exists. You may request account and associated data deletion through account deletion. Deletion removes active account, synchronization, authentication and associated billing records. Private recovery exports may retain deleted data for up to 30 days; exports are used only for recovery, and completed deletions must be reapplied before restored data is put into service. Support correspondence and provider diagnostics have separate retention; contact us to request their removal where applicable. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local app data, but does not itself delete the server account.
